People need to know this - 3ème, health insurance, etc

Hi guys,


Last year I attended a presentation in French about 3ème piliar - I got all light up that Anglophones need to understand this stuff, and that the information is not clear - even to native Swiss - that led me to an intensive 150 hours of training - and ongoing training - and the further I go - the more I am impatient thinking:


'people need to know this!' - everyone - 2ème, 3ème, health insurance


I come from a teaching background - I am a nerd who checks facts - I am not a sales person. I didn't even realise when I started this would turn into a job. I just knew people needed to know this - and the more I learn, and find how in some cases there are gaps in information, and in responsibility.


So I am hosting - or trying to - informal, come and grab a drink - sessions at Jave Café - and am experiencing people's reticence - but please know this is vital neutral information.

Honestly guys, give me feedback - question:


If you think people would be glad to understand the structures (I'm a nerd, turns me on), if you think you can save people money, if you can see holes in responsibility and information -.and that people could end up in trouble if they don't understand, and have their financial structure in place - if you like people, like presenting, want to provide good service without bugging people...


How the hell, pardon, do you reach them?


Trying in Java Café, as low tone as you can imagine.


A glass of wine and an hour of your time to potentially get your ducks in order...


Seriously guys - how do I set this up to serve people?

There are probably several reasons the event didn't take off, including the fact that its not easy to get people to spend time on understanding insurance.


I think one important reason may be that your event description was too vague re why you're organizing this event and what will happen at the event,


You mentioned that you spent 150 hours training, but your explanation re why you're organizing this event didn't sound genuine. 


Are you an insurance broker wanting to sell people insurance? 
Are you just a nice person wanting to help people?


Also - what exactly is an informal talk about insurance?
Will you show a presentation? Answer questions?


In short - 
Be more open about why you're organizing this and what people will get from it and maybe people will be more willing to give it a chance.

In addition to all Oded has said,  I would have thought that a message in “Things to do” would have attracted more positive interest than a rather vague  announcement in a general Forum.


But that’s only my tuppence
