This is really helpful
How late is the market open until on Wednesdays? and is it as big as it is on Saturdays?
Thanks :)

Until 5pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Generally larger on Saturdays, especially sunny ones. If it's rainy and/or brisk, some vendors tend to go home a bit early...On the far side of the market (near Uni-Mail), there is a caravan where you can purchase quiche, cake, tea and other beverages.

Hey if you are looking for a great marché, not as much junk as Planpalais, try themarché in Annecy on the last saturday of the month, and if its good weather, it is really a great town, plus the euro has dropped in value so lots of stuff (not junk) is reasobably priced. here's a link:

Thanks!! I was just there this past Saturday!
Hi, I like to know how to be a vendor in Plainpalais flea market? Do we need to apply for permit? Urgently to know the answer, thanks!

During the summer months, there is a huge market at Villeneuve if you care to go to the other end of the lake : many people from the French side of the lake go.
Otherwise, if you are wanting French Vide Greniers, which are generally speaking very much less expensive than the Swiss ones, go to the website : http://vide-greniers.org/agendaDepartement.php?departement=74
We visited the one in Amphion this morning and spent [shock, horror] two Euros on three little English childrens' books, and one bright red ceramic pot for putting plants in, which now adorns our dining room table.
Tomorrow we will visit the one in Neuvecelle which for us is in walking distance. Many bargains to be had, depending upon what you are looking for.

Hi, SHeila,
Thanks so much for you quick and detailed reply!!! Unfortunately, I don't have any transport tool to carry my stuff to those places and I plan to sell them out (hopefully) before this weekend. I'll call the Plainpalais flea market management team and I also put the sell news here.
Cheers!
