Please help me decide about my car situation?

Hello,

I have been living in Switzerland for the past 6 months and have just returned home to Edinburgh for a short break. I'm trying to decide the best way to have a car in Switzerland. Do you think it's better to buy one here in the UK and try and insure it here for use abroad? Or to buy one in Switzerland and insure it there. My contract only lasts for another year so not sure how long I will be in Switzerland after that.

Hi Rebecca,

Me and my wife had similar situation. she just on a short contract and we leaving soon, we have a ford Fiesta i have just posted foe 1000CHF its a great runner and we decided to buy here as you find it virtually impossible to get a UK car through the expertise here and apparently if you do, it can take months!!
