hi Noreen, no tricks but one tip : browse the web for a driving school with good feedbacks and book one lesson for a brush up test during which the instructor will point out the differences between where you were used to driving and here.
It will be a good investment and will save you a lot of time and hassle. Good luck.

Will also do the school's simulation exam!  (Just for fun?!)
