I would love to get a new set of Hanafuda cards. Mine are very old and falling appart. Need to find a place to replace them, but they are really difficult to find.

I was living in Geneva, I had many Japanesse friend at the university, as I was teaching English. As such I was invited many time for eating, drinking, and they teach me how to gamble with Hanafuda. Nothing serious.

Apparently some.. ehm... person didn't care for my reply. I'm guessing I need to  say a bit more about my experience with this company.

I literally have bought stuff from this store. You can come to my house and see them if you want.

I bought two of these cups pictured below, which I love. You put your coffee in then in the little dish at the top you can put you cookies. The cookes warm up a bit. If you get the mini stroomfwaffles from Migros the caramel melts and it's so nice!! Plus they are super cute.

I have also bought a bunch of the stationary stuff. I'd buy more if it wasn't for the import duties. :(

Everything is sent directly from Japan.

If you order under a certain amount including shipping you won't pay anything in fees. But sadly that amount has gone down a lot in the last few years. I think it's about 65F now including shipping. You can see on the LaPoste website. If you don't find it, let me know and I'll try to find it for you.

I've ordered stationary, echino fabrics and the cups from Japan. None of those orders have cost me anything on import taxes. I just looked through my email and only found the invoice for the cups: the total was US$68 including shipping (¥5,425 JPY).  (Jun'11)

On the other hand I was very unlucky a few months ago when I bought a E50 skirt from Holland. I got zapped with around 30F for being only a bit over the limit. Remeber they include shipping when calculating. :(
