Primary schools around Grand Saconnex/Petit Saconnex

Hi,

Am looking at some apartments around the Grand Saconnex/Petit Saconnex area - does anyone know what their primary public schools are like and in particular, does anyone have any children that go to:

Ecole des Genêts  or
Ecole Grand Saconnex (not sure if this is the correct name?)

Also, for those that live in these areas - what are your impressions? We are looking for a quieter, family friendly neighbourhood as currently we live next to a main road and it can get quite noisy.

Many thanks in advance,

Jane

I don't live in Grand/Petit Saconnex, but I know it quite well.

I think it really depends where in GS/PS you live. There are a couple of big, busy roads there (in particular Route de Ferney), but there are also areas that are relatively quiet. The big roads and the UN areas make it a very segmented quarter, and personally I don't find it particularly charming. On the plus side, it's easy to get around Geneva from there (by car or public transport), and if you find the right neighbourhood it may be what you're looking for.

No idea about schools.
