Might be easier if you specify if you're looking for a specific sport, or more of a personal sports/fitness trainer ? Most professional sports coaches ..or coaches for professional sports I should say, concentrate on one sport, whcih most of them would have played at least to a national standard, if not international standard.
Good luck !

I am looking for a personal sports/fitness trainer not for a trainer in a specific sport.
Kind regards,
Katrin

I note you're in Geneve otherwise could have helped with Zurich - one suggestion would be to contact the University sports administration over there and ask them about their sports coaches/personal trainers - here in Zurich, they are very highly qualified as they deal with several University sports teams and responsible for their fitness, etc, plus are much better priced than outside as they get a salary from Uni so their outside activities are more on the side than a full-time job. You might give them a try.
Good luck :)
