Generally I would be very interested in pub quizzes. But if most of the question are about traditions of the Commonwealth or the preparation of bar drinks, I would not be a support for our team. I'm playing in Geneva's Pickwicks sometimes and there are very different questions, from phobias to alphabets. depends on day, could be very tricky music or sport thing, or like "adv slogans in UK".

preparation of drinks is fun anyway :-)

New to the site and thought I'd put my 2 pennies into this thread.

I understand there is a weekly quiz night at McGee's in Wiedikon, Zurich -  I think it's every Tuesday. Some colleagues of mine were thinking of entering a team in the near future.

I'm not sure of the standard or how successful it is, but could be worth a look.

I really like Pub quizzes. So far I've been to the one at Pickwick's Pub just once. I really miss the pub quizzes in the UK, which are a regular feature there and much more interesting. Well, you can count me in next time you plan on a team. Cheers,Sreyashi.

Actually the one in McGee's (at least the one run by a friend of mine) is once a month. Next one is on March 22nd. The goal is to eventually be the first Tuesday of each month.

There's a wide range of questions. It's $5/person to enter which is given away at the end of the quiz as cash prizes to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams. There's also something special for the last place team. :-)

I've also been once to Oliver Twist and it was a great time. I think, at the end, it depends a lot on your team and I've been on teams with random people I just met and always had a good time. So Freddie, Simon, Sreyashi, and whoever, let me know. I am definitely interested in regular quizzing as well.

Personally I'm a bit tied up for the next two weeks but will schedule some for afterwards.
