Don't tell me it doesn't happen when you go dancing as well.
... and exactly as it happens there, it is flattering to be 'chatted' by strangers, who would make you feel 'liked'.
... and exactly as it happens there, you might find it interesting to get to know better some of them ... or not. In the second case, exactly as there, just answer "No thank you".
If the guy is too stupid to understand the message and retreat politely and becomes intrusive or aggressive, you can
1) block him (he will not be able to write to you or chat with you)
2) report him to the siteadmin.
ciao

I would not worry too much. it is like in life, if somoene's nice, you'll probably answer.
But I do agree, that unmotivated chats do rise in number...

Your just bragging now :P
it just gets weird if they start asking you for drinks. are you supposed to come to the farm or do they have to run into town (seeing as they can't fly). The possibilities after are endless, i mean if you get invited for dinner, would you order eggs or not incase they might be related? Continuing this relationship could be an emotional landmine field.. please let us know how it turns out though. the last time i was chatted up by one of these uber-intelligent chickens, it turned out to actually be a human. how boring is that!

Here you are kicking down an open door: I always said that I would give 'chicken' two weeks to post a picture, after which I would suspend their account.

I would certainly not order in eggs for dinner if I were dating a chicken. They can be quite sensitive, and seeing a possible relative or friend on the table might be quite a traumatic experience. You could at least forget about that after-dinner invitation to the chicken farm.

you can always tell them nicely that you don't do chats but prefer meeting people in the real world. If they insist on meeting you, you can politely say that you plan to attend the xyz event so you can meet in public.
(admin, hope you're adding the 'edit' feature:crazy: )...

it sounds like you've have experience in the chicken dating game Charlotta, maybe you could help Jay T with these very forward and very cocky chickens. is there a good way to distract their attention elsewhere? perhaps throwing some corn or maize on the floor might make them hungry whilst you make your getaway? but also, where do the nice, sensitive and caring chickens hang out? whats a good way to meet them? all of this i'm sure would help her out no end.
