Real names in profiles

Am I the only one who has trouble remembering member’s real names? Any chance of a field in the profiles where people could, optionally, put their real name? What do people think of this idea? Thanks, Rob

I personally think it's a great idea to have the real names. Not only easier to remember, but also drives a bit more of a commitment to 'act right', cos there's less of a hiding behind a false name shield.
We bounced the idea of going ONLY to real names (without user names) off members via surveys and via group discussions in the past, and responses were very mixed. Some members liked real names, some members prefered a nick name that would allow them to express their personality.
But your solution, of having both, sounds like a great one to me.
Would you allow all members to see each others real name, or allow only people on network to see the real names of their friends?

Why not use the same options as you do for chatting , all members, friends and their network (although if you have Bemad or Keleko in your network that will be everyone ), Friends , or no one.
Trev (Britabroad .. WishI had thought more about the name :-)
