Hi everyone,
I had a little bump in my car last week. Virtually no damage, but my front number plate is cracked. Does anybody know how I should go about getting a replacement?
Its a VD registered car (if that makes a difference).

Thanks for the info. I am close to Nyon.
I didn't pick up the plates myself. It's my first car in Switzerland and the garage I bought it from handled the whole registration process for me.
Do you know if there is anywhere nearer / in Nyon which will replace the plate for me?
Is it just a case of walking in, plate in hand, and asking for a replacement?

Seems to cost CHF 60 for a new set of plates with the same number.

On the word doc that they have for the order, they state that it takes up to 6 weeks for the new plates with the same number.
You might want to ask if it is easier to change the number. You will then need to advise your insurance etc. and change the "grey card" for the car.
