Someone below mentioned the Jon Stewart story "Foley...."
It is about a sex scandal, whereby a Republican Congressman from Florida was hitting on his "pages" - and pages are something like and intern (stagi?re) but even younger.... usually age 15-17. To make matters worse, he was hitting on his male interns. Which makes it even more 'shocking' given the moral position of Republicans in general. This Congressman , Mark Foley of Florida, was in charge of the House Committee on child molestation (which is so ironic, because he was, under U.S. Law, a child molester).
This story threatnens to affect the next U.S. election. Many Republican voters, are extremely upset about this story.
Reportedly, top level Republicans knew about the fact that this man was practicing this behavior. An ethics investigation is taking place.
