if you don't get an answer here, just google the question, and you'll find joy before you can say, "picasa"

what software are you using ?

Normally you re-size when saving your picture. You click on save as ... and then get an option to save in different formats, jpeg, cm, tiff, gif etc, on this page you can also usually resize your photos, either to a pixel size you want or to a minimum/max kb size. Sometimes also to a percentage of size. select the size you want then click save as. and select the place you wish to save the folder/picture to.

Hope this helps

Assuming you have Iphoto you can also import the photo onto that. Click on the photo and click edit then click crop. You then get the option to change the photo size either automatically or manually.

Thank you, I did that already, however I didnt want to edit the actual look of the photo, just how much space it takes up :-)

I found the solution though now

caroline - what solution did you find?

You can use iPhoto, Preview, Graphic Converter, and probably many other programs to accomplish that.
