Respect and savoir faire

Hi,

I organised a group walk and coffee on the weekend. There was a lot of prying and inappropriate questions and comments - asking to specify which building I live in, asking if I organise walk because I do not have friends - wtf - (I had a full social week with people that mean a lot to me that I have known for years, thank you), digging into inappropriate family questions  It was exhausting, unpleasant, lacking respect and unnecessary, I was polite as the host, but have told one person not to participate in any future events I organise.

I think it is reasonable everyone attending, including the host, should be respected, be able to relax and able to enjoy the activity and not drilled with inappropriate personal questions or assumptions.

Bring your social graces, kindness, tact and think twice before assuming to drill into strangers' lives. There are bigger and more I testing topics to discuss and enjoy.

Cheers,
