Hope someone out there can help.
We planned to have lunch at Luigia (Luigia.ch) tomorrow, but it appears to be closed for lunch on Saturdays.
Can anyone recommend an alternative?
Thanks in advance
Stuart

That's Luigia in Geneve!
According to its website there are 2 Luigia's in Geneva, so you an try the one that's not closed.
Alternatively, Da Paolo in Eaux-Vives serves great pizza. They don't accept reservations, so just show up and hope the queue isn't too long.

Thanks Edward, but the operate the same openning hours!
Hello Guys!
I'm sorry to disagree with Edward, but I really do not like Da Paolo. When I went there once, I saw the waiter give the olives on my table to another table after I had eat part of them!! I don't think it's very professional and healthy. And even the pizza was not that good to me. I prefer to go to "La trattoria" (http://www.latrattoria.ch/test_index.html).
So, as for the question of Stuart, the big problem is to find a good restaurant open on Sundays.
I went to the Relais de l'Entrecote in Paris and in Montpellier and it was very nice. It is supposed to be the same kind of restaurant (and of quality) in Geneva (http://www.relaisentrecote.fr/contact.php?dir=g), but I don't know if they're opened on Sundays. The main dish there (the only one actually) is meat.
The Café du marché in Plainpalais is good too and seems opened for lunch on Sunday (http://yellow.local.ch/en/d/Geneve/1205/Restaurant/Cafe-du-Marche-UWaofEQy6VnC_fpmhRJrmg).
Otherwise, for an indian lunch or dinner, I would suggest you to go to Café Gandhi (http://www.gandhi.ch/acces) or to The spice of India (http://www.spiceofindia.ch/restaurant) (they have fantastic naans).
You can also go to the Café du soleil to have a fondue or something typically swiss (http://www.cafedusoleil.ch/).
I hope you'll find a good solution. Have a nice lunch then tomorrow!

Hi Lorenza,
We were looking for Lunch on Saturday, not Sunday, but greatful for you post anyway.
We did actually end up in Da Paolo, our friends choice. I kept away from the olives, but we all enjoyed our long lunch, with good food, wine and atmosphere.
I would recommend, but can not compare it to Luigias, which I have heard fantastic reviews from friends, so maybe we will get there some day and I'll report back.
