Reward CHF200:help me find someone take my room

Hi,

i am in quite a difficult situation. My company has relacated me out of Geneva in the last few weeks and I need someone to move into my room. The apartments is fully furnished and is in a really ideal location in Carouge/Acacias. I have left all my furniture in the bedroom and the person who moves in can keep the furniture should they wish (worth c.chf800) It is alost impossible for me to organise this from another country. The gentleman living in the other room is an Italian professional. He is also helping also to try find someone but we have had no luck yet. I find this a little bit baffling as it took me 3 months to find a place when I first came. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I am willing to provide a reward if you can help me find someone to take over my share of the lease before the end of this month. The person will need ot provide the usual documents to the regie.

All the best

Hello,

I have a couple friends looking for apartments.

Just a few notes: the price for this room is high so I suggest you give more details and photos, maybe posting an ad in the classifieds section or in a place like anibis.ch and putting the link here (is it a 50m2 shared studio or a 200m2 duplex?). You also want them to pay them for your furniture which is also going to be a problem and you want them to rent with the regie (long term) instead of just subletting (short term).

I would try to negociate something with your company, maybe they can top up your relocation package?

Another thing to try is to cancel the contract with the regie (which should take 3 months) and then try to sublet it for this short period.

The last thing to mention is that 200CHF is a very small amount when you are trying to save more than 5K. I will recommend your room if I think it is a fair price and honestly the 200 would just get in the way.

Good luck with everything,

Leo

Hi Leo your feedback, is very much appreciated.

A few points below.

The room is posted on the glocals website under the title

"Carouge:large fully furnished room to in 2 bed apartment"

I am leaving the furniture for FREE, i do not want money for them.

The apartment is c.150m2.

If the person like the room it is possible to take over my part of the lease right away. If they only want to take the room until the end of July (lease runs out) we can do a sublet.

I would like to get this sorted myself first before I get my company involved as I want to retrieve my deposit.
