I'm going to Italy next week, to Rome! Was wondering if all you smart well-informed GOLers could give me some names of good restaurants, clubs, etc for my journey. If you wouldn't mind...
Thanks!

Trastevere...dont really like to recommend as you may hate it. But its an area with a number of old traditonal restaurants. I like it...perhaps some others may agree.

Loved Trastevere! I went to a really nice restaurant there - lots of locals eating - unfortunately i can't remember the name of the restaurant but it's still a great area to explore!

A neighbourhood called Testaccio is good...pretty much a strip lined with bars etc....For dinner, go to Gusto in the centre of town. There is a brasserie type area, an osteria (traditional food) and a normal dining area. The food is really nice and ambience is pretty alright. If not anything, it's easy to get to (right in the middle of shopping area). 3 yrs ago, a place called Supperclub was pretty good for dancing. A little exclusive and maybe still worth a try. Hope this helps!
