Running/Biking Trails near Nyon
Does anyone has suggestions for running or biking trails near Nyon? I generally run down to the lake and back to my house, sometimes more towards the autoroute through the vineyards, however both of these paths seems to be pretty short, maybe 3km or so.

My brother is coming to visit and he's training for a triathalon that will take place shortly after he gets home so he needs to keep up his training. It seems that in any direction he goes he should be able to find good paths, but since he's not familiar with the area, I would love any suggestions on specific routes that are good for biking or running. He'd probably be looking to go long distances, I would think 20km or more. Any easy-to-follow trail recommendations would be much appreciated!

Hi - There are some nice trails in the woods behind Versoix - there is a the Parcours Vita which is 2.7km not much but varied and does not get boring running around a few times - there are also lots of trails in the woods and you can venture in to surrounding farmland. Good for mountain biking (not in parcours vita tho which is foot only)

Also one near Nyons:

Best,

d.

 Hello,

You might also try this website for a list of lots of trails around the area.  #3 and 4 go through Nyon by the train station.

http://wanderland.myswitzerland.com/en/routen_list.cfm?tour=etappe&region=009&print

Also, try www.mapmyrun.com  Under the mapping tools menu you can select to see other runner's routes.

Enjoy!
