And Krissy, once in a while we do glocals Salsa-Weekends.
I'll let you know when the next one is, once we nail the details.

In Lausanne, I was recommended a place called "Movida" on the downside of Place Chaudron. It turned out to be a real nice place.
Otherwise it seems the "Atelier Volant" in the Flon is also quite popular.
Don't know anything about clases in Lausanne, though.

I take salsa classes in the same dance school I take samba classes and it's great. It is 3 minutes walking from Chaudron square (Rue Valentin 34) on Wednesdays from 7pm to 8:30 pm.
Come and try it, the first lesson is free, as for the samba lessons.
Otherwise, there are the two places for going out mentionned already by Tawb and also La Bomba. I prefer Movida, as I usually go during the week.
Hope to see you and maybe go out together dancing :)

Hi Krissy
You're in luck coz the Swiss Salsa champion is a guy called
Esteban Isnardi and he teaches right here in Geneva:
www.expresion-salsa.com (you can see his video compliation here)
mobile: 079 698 11 76
The huge bonus is that Esteban is such a comedian too ... his
classes are never without fun & humor.
For Latin dancing and music you can try the following - some
also do classes:
Barrios Latino - Avenue Henri Dunant Plain Palais [Barrios do classes too]
(Tuesdays & Wednesdays)
... I'll be there tomorrow from around 10:30
Salle Communale d'Onex [Someone does classes here
website: saborlatinosalsa.ch tel: 079 508 80 40]
One Saturday Per month Salle Commenale have a fabulous Latin night
and for November it is THIS SATURDAY - wooohoooo
I'll be there too ... not that I'm addicted or anything :-)
Also Salvatore has a Wednesday (I think) class:
079/623.87.54 www.Salseros-de-hoy.ch
And this Friday there's this event:
THE HAVANA IN GENEVA - Percussions Live (Julio D'Santiago & Hugo) -
Dj's Dante'z (résident) & El Pirata - Montecristo Club
-www.montecristoclub.ch
Prix: En couple 40 fr & 3 conso chaqu'un !!!
Si non: Hommes 40fr - Femmes 30fr avec 3 conso chaque, venez en couple !!!
Sorry Krissy, other than that I have no idea what's happening
on the Salsa scene :-)
Have fun

I agree with Susan61 that Salvatore at salseros-de-hoy is good. After many attempts, it's after taking classes with him that I finally managed. They have free dance evenings every Wednesday, starting at around 2130.
For Lausanne people, I have heard that there is the Swiss championship of Salsa this Saturday in the Palais Beaulieu.
