Saving Private Rowfy - Plein Palais
I was coming home for lunch on Monday when I noticed a little brown dog running around off the lead by the co-op near the Cafe Cuba. I thought it a little bit strange as the area has lots of cars and I couldn't seen an owner anywhere. I saw the little guy had a pink tag in his collar which means he is registered but I didn't give it too much thought.

Came back from work in the early evening and the poor little guy is still running around and looking a little distressed. I realised that he has obviously came off the lead and now can't find his owner anymore. I had just walked my friends dog so had some dog sweets with me but he didn't seem interested and seemed scared when I approached. Unfortunately he ran off into traffic but luckily made it across the road and around the corner. I searched for him but couldn't find him again.

I saw him again today from my appartment (Saturday - five days later!!!!!) still walking around looking for his owner. I ran down to the street and almost managed to get hold of him before he ran away again. He's looking afraid and a bit thinner now so I guess he's been eating whatever rubbish he can find and drinking from puddles. I happened to notice in addition to having registration tags he's also wearing a harness so definitely has not been just abandoned.

As he didnt seem to like dog sweets I went looking for him again today armed with a bacon sandwich but after a while as I couldn't find him I had to give up and ate the sandwich.

I'm concerned for the little guy because he's definitely a pet so not used to living outside and he's already spent at least five days in a high traffic area. As he's circling plein palais around the cuba cafe I guess he got lost somwhere near there. I've no idea the dogs real name but have christened him "Private Rowfy". He's a little chocolate coloured terrier, looks young enough to be a puppy. He doesnt appear fierce or bad tempered, just looks like a scared lost pet. I'm pretty sure he's not going to survive outside for that much longer - I expect he will either perish due to the elements or more likely be hit by a car.

Can the GOL members walking around plein palais / juction keep an eye out for the little fella and catch hold of him if they can? Again, Ive seen the tag so know he is registered so an owner can be contacted. Otherwise for sure Private Rowfy is going to be killed which would be really too bad. If someone sees him running somewhere else would be good to know.
