Just wondering if anyone knows much about the schengan rules. I'm an australian travelling back and forth from Switzerland. Does anyone know how I can stay in the schengan area for more than 90 days

I do not think this is allowed
If you have a permit in one of the shengeen countries, then of course you can move around.

I think it's a 90 day cumulative limit out of 180 days. If you're leaving and re-entering multiple times, you might not have a problem.

Generally, you can only stay in the Schengan zone 90 days within an 180 day period. So, if you stay a full non-stop 90 days, you must leave the Schengan zone for a full 90 days before returning.

Or if you can afford it; you can bounce over to the UK or Ireland (or any non-Schengan country) instead of flying all the way back to Austrailia.
