Scooters and bike paths

Hi everyone!

Are scooters allowed to be on the bike paths? I always thought "NO"! But when the traffic is overloaded and all lines are occupied, I assumed that the scooters might be on the bike paths if the scooter does not create obstacles to bikes.

I had a small accident with my scooter. I was driving on a bike path when a car without showing a turn signal unexpectedly turned left. I was right behind the car but on the bike path. Thanks god, it was not a serious case but I was a bit worried.

So, who was wrong in this accident? Me or the car's driver? Does anyone knows where to look for the correct information?

As far as I am concerned and I know, scooters are not allowed on bike paths. These are meant for bicycles and mopeds — the kind you drive when you are 14 years old — who do not exceed 30km/h.

I have found this on the citie's website.

In french but it says that the paths are exclusively for the use of bicycles and mopeds so I guess I was right. YAY!
