Seeking a property lawyer in Vaud

Hi there,

Having bought a brand new apartment in October last year we have had a series of disasters including leaks and electrical faults, none of which have been dealt with by the property developer. We are now at the point where legal support is unavoidable and would really appreciate any recommendations or advice.

Many thanks in advance!

Not sure is this helps but when you buy a new construction usually there is a 2 - 5 -10 year warrenty in North America. To protect you against exactly what you are dealing with. Have you had a look at your contract and looked into what they will cover in terms of warrenty. Should be a good starting point. Also would be helpful to get intouch with other owners and see if anyone else has had the same problem. If so combine your efforts and should yeild results...Good luck hope you get the "Quality developers to fix the issues"...

Thanks so much for your advice. We are covered by new build guarantees but the problem is it is taking so long for any action to happen (3 months and counting to find a leak!!) that we want to know our full rights etc. Also, the only time anything seems to happen is when we threaten legal action so we are starting to think maybe there is a reason they are so worried about lawyers getting involved.

If anybody has been in a similar situation and has any advice on how to proceed we would really appreciate it.

Thanks!
