Hi all,
I am an American educated clinical psychologist who is licensed to practice in the state of Wisconsin. We moved to Switzerland in September. I would appreciate very much the opportunity to speak with those who are currently practicing here (or have practiced here) as it seems to me, as an english-only speaker, to be difficult to gain more information about licensure in Switzerland. It would be helpful to hear about others' experiences setting up a practice or finding work in mental healthcare. If you or someone you know would be willing to get together to chat about this over a coffee or via email or phone, I would be infinitely grateful.
Any information at all would be helpful!
Thank you very much.

Hi
I think the best would be to contact the FSP (see below) because there is a new law that will come into force next year about professions related to psychology (infos in German and French here: http://www.bag.admin.ch/themen/berufe/00994/index.html?lang=fr), so they will have more up-to-date information than someone who started working here a few years ago. From January 1st 2013, one must for example have a master's degree from a university (or equivalent) to use the title "psychologist".
