Does anyone know roughly how much you get for a used car (a 2003 NIssan Primera, still running)? And how do you go about getting the best price?
Thanks!

A friend had one of these companies come and pick up a car with a completely busted engine and they took it away. Of course he had to pay, but I don't think it was much.

I thought you were going to say "have you tried parking your car at IKEA - by the time you return it'll be gone and you can claim it on the insurance".

Hi,
Just head to Pneus Claude in Peney/Satigny. There are several "demolitions" (=scrap yards) in the same street and on the road to get there.
Just take a look to this link to goggle earth and you will see the yards with plenty of cars.
That may help you to bargain, since you may be able to compare the offers you receive. Let them know that you will ask the neighbour, so that they are more willing to a serious offer.
As JulianT said, keep in mind that there is a market for reliable Japanese cars in Africa/Latin America, where most "export business card" cars are sent to.
Good luck,
Esteban
