Several weeks underground parking in Lausanne

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a longer term underground parking in Lausanne?

By longer term I mean several weeks, during the Christmas holidays. Somewhere where they will not charge you by the hour, which would cost a fortune, and where they do not make you sign a contract for several months either.

So far the only thing I have found are some of the longer duration parkings near GVA airport (quite expensive though), but I would really prefer to find something in Lausanne.

Any tips? Thanks for your help.

Our advice : drive around the lake into France. Leave your car here [we can show you if you are really interested]. Probably/most likely free of charge = this is France, not Switzerland remember. Thereafter take the boat back to Ouchy/Lausanne.

Thanks, but I am looking for undeground surveilled parking.

To leave the car outdoors, I could do it in the parking place of my building.

Any other suggestions, anyone?

Have you seen this? We had 24 hour parking for a couple of months in Ouchy, although paid for by the company. Nice and secure. http://www.pms-parkings.ch/index.php?page=tarifs

Thanks for the link, Russel. Certainly the parking in Ouchy seems to be less expensive than the others for the monthly abonnements. Will call them and check the details.

You might want to check out the EPFL: if not emoyed there, an option would be for you to ask a friendly Glocals member who just happens to be employed by the Epfl to purchase a parking sticker for the grand price of Chf 15:00/month. Karin
