Share your 'Small World' story

Most of us are not from around here. Most of us have traveled extensively in the world. So, inevitably, while on a business trip, while on vacation, or after moving to a new location, we run into people whom we knew in the past, often someone whom we never expected (wanted? Wink) to see again.

For example, before Geneva, I lived in Moscow where I was plying my "Computer Problems? I can help." trade. Did it for about 2 years. Then we moved here and I set up shop here. I had a client in Lausanne whom I saw a few times and one day her friend was stopping by while I was working. I finished my work and my client started to introduce us....

We both eyed each other with that "You look familiar!" look. My client tells her friend what I've been doing and she says "Yeah, hi! You fixed my computer in Moscow!"

I was pickled tink.

So, have at it, guys. Tell us your best, most unexpected "It's a small world" story.

I am from Adelaide, Australia and like you have travelled extensively, studied in Switzerland, the States, etc...

About three years ago, I was working in an Architectural firm in South Australia called DesignInc. Anyway...I moved on to another firm, over the next couple of years I would bump into people from DesignInc here and there around Adelaide.

March this year I moved to Europe - now in Geneva. Anyway, two weeks ago I was in Istanbul and was photographing the Grand Bazaar. I heard a familiar voice, turned around and there in Istanbul of all places in the entire world was my colleague (Caroline) from DesignInc...Needless to say I was pretty blown away...
