Signing for etat de lieu (checking in) on ipad

Dear Glocal members,

May I know if any of you have experience where the regie (Livit in my case) ask you to sign your check-in on their ipad?

My previous regie did it the old school way, by the use of carbon copies with which I will be able to have the immediate copy of what I've signed, and I am a bit skeptical of the new way.

Just asking for the assurance that this ipad signature is also legit and that I will still have the right to have my comments on the current state of the apartment written down.  Plus they are still working on the balcony but I didnt mind because I'm leaving for NYC right after signing and they told me everything should be done when I am back.

Thank you for any feedback or advice or any related experience with regie(s) using this method (I have no time to visit asloca as I am getting the keys today and leaving for NYC tmr).

Hi Joycelyn,

I did the same as you mentioned with Livit and received a copy to my email immediate and checked it that i have received it before they left.

They quickly released the guarantee, after a work left from my side to be done for a terrace...

Good luck,

Abdul

The Régie Bory does that too.  It's a way to reduce paper usage.

Your skepticism is understandable.  I guess it's ok with the iPad version, but it is important that you:

1) check that the Régie sent you a copy via email

2) verify that copy thoroughly

3) if there is any difference with the copy you signed, promptly challenge any point - in writing! - on which you don't agree, by sending a mail to the Régie.

Almost all of the regies are doing it now... it adds a little time to the inspections as the technicians are a bit slow typing, but it allows pictures (in most cases) to be added directly to the original document.
