I'm shopping. I've never owned a pair. Angels are weeping for Swiss retailers, their high prices, and their poor web sites. REI can't ship any of their snowshoes internationally. Can someone give me a hand?

maybe try one of the sports shops in Divonne / Ferney area.... make sure you buy the right size for your weight, and forget the canadian raquette style with leather, theyre useless as I learnt to my detriment. The plastic ones with unclipable /clippable heels are best for multi terrain... and some stores (eg Athleticum) do deals on shoes plus rectractable poles (if you want to buy them).
let me know how you get on... I need a new set too .-)
