I guess you are already well insured for accident directly to your employer (accident insurance). It works even during day-off.

Your standard employer accident insurance covers most normal stuff, but it won't cover alot of extreme sport. It also won't cover activities that put you in remote locations that may require helicopter evacuation.
For example you are covered for skiing on piste only! if you ride off piste alot of like to go touring back country you need additional insurance.
I have this, and seems to cover a good range of sports and activities:-

Hi,
I have been helicopter evacuated on the work insurance twice;-)
It is well worth getting the rega card (30.-)
https://www.rega.ch/en/support-rega/become-a-rega-patron.aspx
It's not insurance but they do help.
We were (6 people) stuck in a definite avalanche situation near Arolla, with very high risk, so phoned Rega for advice. They sent a helicopter immediately. 3 of the insurers paid out immediately. The other 3 argued that there was no accident and so no payment. Rega then asked us to request a letter to prove this, which the insurers refused to write, then eventually paid out.
The other incident was a long story and a real accident in Zermatt and they paid out immediately.
The other option is to do all your extreme sports in Chamonix where rescue is free. I have only been involved in two rescues in Chamonix and only got to ride in the chopper once;-)
