The world cup is almost upon us, and I was wondering if there was some way to stream the games live (from French/Swiss IP), preferably with English commentary. HD quality would be an added bonus, but of course, I realize that may not be a possibility. I am not averse to paying for the service, as long as it isn't outrageous (limit = 50 bucks). I know I could go to some sports bars to watch the games there instead, but that doesn't give me the ability to watch games while pretending to do work... plus, the bar tab I'd rack up by watching all games there is not something I can afford. Thanks!

I would be surprised if Fifa.com didn't have something set up, but an easy free option is myP2P.eu, which will surely have numerous options for streaming any of the games.

You can stream BBC One and many other national broadcasters free and in good quality from http://zattoo.com/ if you have a Swiss IP address.

It remains to be seen how good the reception of Zattoo will actually be.
When there are a lot of viewers, they usually have a bandwidth-bottleneck.
Maybe if you subscribe to their premium-service, you get better QoS ;-)
But check if your workplace doesn't block it.
As usual, not much work will get done in that month...
