I have brought my car from US about a year ago and it is time to obtain swiss license plates.
Does
anyone know a good garage that prepares cars for the inspection for a
reasonable amount of money? English speaking is even better,
Thanks Lisa

hi lisa,
i did this once, and i swore never again :-)
first you need to obtain a yellow form No. 6513 something ( i forget the number exactly) and pay the import tax.....unless you were able to show that the car moved with you as "personal items"
the swiss requirements for us cars that i can remember are:
speedometer in Kms
turn signals -color of plastic
exhaust pipe in the right direction
CO2 test
catalyser in the exhaust circuit
and if possible request mechanic to add :
double action dip sticks for oil checks :-P
mahagony packed rear end :-P
self-lubricating rocker panels :-P
hydraulic mirrors :-P
ultra-violet outside courtesy lights:-P
this last list was always mentioned by the guys in high school auto shop as "must haves"
. lol
cheers

How about an ejection seat?
Well actually if your car has helicopter rotor blades you might want to skip that :P
