With CONNECT 1811, you can now call any Swisscom mobile subscriber, even if you don’t know the number and if it does not appear in the phone directory. The mobile numbers remain however confidential and is not disclosed. The person being called is informed of who’s calling and can therefore decide whether (s)he wants to take the call or not.
All Swisscom Mobile customers are automatically signed up to this new opt-out service, which I find perfectly despicable. If you want to be on the black list (liste rouge), you have to send a SMS with STOP CONNECT to # 444 (free of charge).
