oh they are so late with this idea, like I started using skype in 2005

Swisscom will not gain new clients or exposure with this, in our out of Switzerland.

There are just too many players out there with VOIP, and exspecially like Microsoft buying Skype, it shows you skype is the best.

so far iphone and yahoo just dont compare.

Personnally I've installed the Swisscom iO app on my smartphone and I see no point in using it when you already have whatsapp, viber or even better tango.

It brings nothing new...Cool

We might be forced to switch to iO after all.  Since several days I have noticed that the Skype app is unable to connect when I'm on the cellular data network, and thought that Swisscom may be blocking VoIP traffic.  Are you Swisscom mobile users experiencing the same?

Let's not forget that not everyone on this excellent website/forum has English as their mother tongue. Many of the contributors speak superb English and if they choose the wrong word occasionally, the rest of us should be tolerant, don't you think? It should by rights read "competition" but we all know what he means.Kiss

Pedantics, I know, but Dominik M (who you are "correcting") is actually German, so English is NOT his mother tongue so he's not, actually, being intolerant, he's just having a joke.

Bertrand is Swiss, so I guess he has a good command of German as well as English and will appreciate the joke.

More likely it's just a typing error and no need to pick up on it.

Just like it should be "to compete with" and not just replacing "concurrence" with "competition" and you're right, we all know what "he means" or "what he meant" ?????.

Guys, have we nothing else to do on a Friday night, but pick bones on people's grammar in their posts? There's a party out there that needs joining.

I just want to know what "iO" means.....

Reminds me of a recent joke I saw - what the most ironic insult?  To tell someone "Your An Idiot" (sorry, just for my English Mother Tongue Pals).

Jeez - it's been a long week - someone get me a glass of wine!!

just to mention that I don't speak German (thanks to my teachers when I was a kid..., but I try to learn it, as I try to learn English. I find both to be difficult but interesting and nice languages....)

About being intolerant ? I found it was more helpful, as are a few members on here who help me when I really write some big mistakes  :)
