"Under the decision taken on Wednesday, B resident permits for people from Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia as well as the three Baltic Republics of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia will be limited to just 2,179 for a period of at least 12 months.


Since May last year, the number of B permits granted to citizens from these states reached about 6,000 according to official data.

In related news, SVP obtained enough signatures to get their anti-immigration initiative onto the ballot.  It's not clear to me how I might be impacted, but I have a feeling that a rug is about to get pulled out from under me...

I think that the Swiss government will always allow major companies the options they need for employing foreigners...


Germany and France are looking to make alterations as well..
