Tax on Swiss Pension Income (2eme Pillier)

I am trying to do some pre-retirement budgetting.

My question:

Is there a reduced rate of tax on a pension income drawn from a Swiss occupational pension scheme (2eme pillier)?   If so, where do I find details of the tax rates?  Are the taxes deducted at source, or do I declare on my tax return?

I have googled this to death with no authoritative source.    For example on the website www.ch.ch it states:

"Payments from occupational pension schemes (2nd pillar) and private pension schemes (3a pillar and life annuities / 3b pillar) are taxed at a special rate."

However if I go to the cantonal or federal web sites, I can't find any mention of the "special rate".

I can find plenty of information which seems to imply I will pay a reduced tax if I take a "lump sum".  For example on the Geneva Tax web site it says: "

"Les prestations en capital provenant du 2ème pilier sont imposées séparément des autres revenus au 1/5ème des taux habituels sur le revenu."

I can't find any reference to it on the Vaud tax web site.

Thanks in advance to any retired person who has practical experience of this and can answer!

By the way, I am a Swiss/British dual national, living in the Canton of Vaud.

It should also be 1/5th in Vaud, I'm nearly sure it's the same everywhere.

I've a software to make a quick calculation of that, you can send me a PM with the amount of that pension scheme, if you're married or not (with or without kids), and where you live, and I can tell you how much it would be.
