Thank you - what a community!
The other night/morning, I posted up a plea on the member activities - I had discovered that there were no taxis at all available to get me to the airport in time to catch my early morning flight. I hoped that perhaps someone else out there, late at night, might also have been going the same way and might have been ok to share transport.

I got so much more than I expected. I received some kind emails offering me alternative taxi phone numbers and wishing me luck. But I also had someone offer to drive me. It was about 1.30am when I posted up my plea, and the flight meant I had to be at the airport at 5.30am. This person lived 30 minutes outside Geneva and told me that they would be happy to drive in to Geneva, pick me up and take me to the aiport. I would just need to give them a call to wake them up and give them time to get to my place. That would mean that at best, they would get 2 and a half hours sleep. All so I could get to my flight.

I was/am stunned. What an extraordinarily kind offer to have made. This person is not one of my close mates, simply a person who responded to a cry for help, with complete generosity. All I can say is THANK YOU, and reflect once again how this is one amazing community and how lucky I am to be part of it.

6:30 am flight, as planes are not allowed to fly in and out of geneva between midnight and 6 am.

Had many an early flight too when i had to travel for business, although I always booked my taxi the evening before!!!

Bravo to the person who offered to pick up kiriel, I would have offered but only have a 1 seater scooter, although that could have been a very amusing sight!!!
