The Brain - a test
THE BRAIN

This is way too cool!!! It is not a trick and it does go both ways - no, it goes THREE ways - allow yourself to see it. If you don't believe it,

http://tradingchief.com/en/file.php?id=3063

have several people looking at it at the same time. Everyone will see it a different way.

If you see this lady turning clockwise (rt leg up), you are using your right brain.
If you see it the other way (left leg up), you are using your left brain.
Some people do see both ways, but most people see it only one way.

See if you can make her go one way and then the other by shifting the brain's current.

BOTH DIRECTIONS CAN BE SEEN (honest!)

Experimentation has shown that the two different sides, or hemispheres,

of the brain are responsible for different manners of thinking.

The following table illustrates the differences between left-brain and right-brain thinking:

Left Brain
Logical
Sequential
Rational
Analytical
Objective
Looks at parts

Right Brain
Random
Intuitive
Holistic
Synthesizing
Subjective
Looks at wholes

Most individuals have a distinct preference for one of these styles of thinking. Some, however, are more whole-brained and equally adept at both modes. In general, schools tend to favor left-brain modes of thinking, while downplaying the right-brain ones.

Left-brain scholastic subjects focus on logical thinking, analysis,
and accuracy.

Right-brained subjects, on the other hand, focus on aesthetics,
feeling, and creativity.

All the best.

Verbier

P.S. I am a bit left and right. Not sure if this is good or not.

Amazing!

I was looking it together with another person. I saw one thing, the other person saw another!

Julian: I read that only 1% of the population see it both ways. Further, while 99% of the population see a boat when looking at the picture, a further 1% of people see - believe it or not - a woman when they look at the picture!  If you're among the 1% that see it both ways, AND that see a woman, you're really in trouble!

I'm a bit worried... I saw the image a few years ago, and if I remember well, I managed to see it turning both ways. Now, I see it only turning clockwise... Is it serious, doctor? Should I write my will?

It started on on the left, but if you wait long enough it moves to the right, and then back again to the left.. I just go the impression the picture was set up to do this, rather than my brain doing anything with it..

At the begining I was pretty proud of myself because within 15sec I saw the woman moving in both directions.

After reading the Isa's comments, now I can easily switch between seeing it moving in either direction.

But it was funny exercise. If you have more, I would enjoy it. Thanks
