A Pathan goes into a store and sees something he doesn't know. He asks the clerk:
-What is that shiny object?
-This is a thermos flask.
-What does it do?
-It keeps hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold.
-Great! I'll take it!
The next day, the Pathan goes to work, carrying his new thermos very proudly. His Pathan boss sees him and asks:
-What is that shiny object with you?
-It's a thermos flask.
-What does it do?
-It keeps hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold.
The boss seems really impressed.
-Wow, what do you have in it?
-Two cups of coffee and a coke.

Pathan is the other name for Pashtoun, a ethno-linguistic group spread over Northern Pakistan and Afghanistan. They form the core of the Taliban movment.
