The Royal India restaurant 'revival!'

As a lot of people know, I run the Geneva Curry Club - we go out every 2 weeks to different curry houses in and around Geneva, having a few beers and a good curry etc... well I just thought it fair to give a certain Geneva restaurant a bit of credit for making a good comeback - and people can take from 'my thoughts' how they want...

Basically the Royal India on Rue de Paquis was a popular choice for the Curry Club up until a few years ago, as it failed (by our standards) to keep up with the competition who were really starting to do some great tasty curries on-par with what we are spoilt with back in England!  (For those of you not British, that may not make sense... but just go with it for now...)  Then it closed down and was taken over by a new restauranteur, which also closed down, and now it has opened again as the Royal India, again, and the same owner, promising to do a better job.

Anyway, The Geneva Curry Club went there last week (hesitantly) - and it's fair to say it is a MASSIVE improvement!  Ok the starters were a bit basic, but to be fair he just whacked them up as a quick nibbler whilst we were all enjoying a few beers at the bar first - But the main courses were "very Promising" - not perfect, but certainly a really good effort - in fact the fish curry was extremely good, and spicy, very rare in Geneva 'spicy curry!' - So I just thought it fair to help put the restaurant back on the map for whatever my point of view is worth - I just feel they deserves a chance.

Happy to take your questions Curry lovers... oh, in fact I'm off for one tonight, organised by Helen Glocal ('Swiss") the Speed Demon of the Geneva Running Club, who has started doing regular curry dinners for her scary spandex crowd... so as well as my curry events, I can go to hers too...Bonus! Can a humble Brit have too much curry??  Of course not...!!
