The dating thread became old, apparently.
Sounds like what we really need is a metric for quantifying the similarity between two forum posts.
Then instead of wondering/discussing endlessly whether my post was like yours, we could attach a number and be done with it.
Another advantage is that one could save large amounts of time by ignoring posts which are simply similar to other recent posts.
Then again, if the goal is efficient use of time, one probably shouldn't be reading internet forums at all...
