Hello Eric!
The Geneva English Drama Society has three big productions per season. Their upcoming show, Rabbit Hole, is opening next week and you can still get tickets for it!
This thought-provoking play by David Lindsay-Abaire won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. It is a wonderfully insightful, candid, and witty drama about bereavement, various stages of grief, and the very different coping mechanisms people rely upon in order to trudge through adversity, put up a façade of normalcy, and eventually accept a most tragic loss (sports, baking, religion, drinking, and more). It's a great play, really -- not melodramatic or depressing, which could have easily been the case...
As a behavioral scientist, I was struck by this moving story and its highly relatable characters. I am sure you will find it very interesting... I hope to be able to share it with you — from the stage, since I have the lead role in the production! :) Please feel free to spread the information across your network and get the word out to fellow theater lovers!
NB: The show opens on Tuesday, March 1 at 8 p.m., and runs until Saturday, March 5 (at 7 p.m. on the last night). Tickets are now available online [
http://www.geds.ch/shows/rabbit-hole] or may be purchased directly at the theater in Eaux-Vives on the night of the performance you wish to attend... Do come if you can. It would be great to see you and your wife there!
All the best,
Cécile
