Bricklin SV-1
This gull-wing sport car was built in New Brunswick from 1974 to 1976. It was created by Malcolm Bricklin, an American millionaire who had previously founded Subaru of America. 2,857 cars were built, selling for $9,980, before the company fell into receivership, owing approximately $32-million dollars including a $23-million dollar debt to the province. The SV-1 had a built-in roll cage, side guard rails and shock-absorbing 5-mph bumpers.
