Hello everyone,



I am moving to Switzerland in January and I am interested in being close to the mountains but with access to Geneva. I am new to Switzerland and do not know the area, do you have any towns that you can recommend?

The zone northwest of Nyon (Chéserex, Saint-Cergue) springs to mind.


Unless you want to live on the French side, in which case Pays de Gex may be an option.

If you are moving for work, it would also be useful to know where and for whom for whom as your permit status may also have a bearing on your choice.

Thank you very much Ritchie. I will be moving for work and I will need to be based in Switzerland. I am not considering to be in the French side.
