Tips for Milan?

Anybody out there who has tips for things to see in Milan on a weekend(best cafés,cool bars, things you don't necessarily find in tourist guides)? I am going with the Glocals group and yes,I could spend ages looking online but I am a teacher and ...I have just started back at work after extended sick leave, and I am VERY busy! Any tips would be appreciated.

cheers

Hello i really like NOVECENTO museum right next to the Duomo.

Some people say that the panzoretti from Luini are also a must to eat but expect to cue. it is on a side streed of corso Vitt Emanuele.

My fav shopping area -a bit alternative style- is corso di porta ticinese.

have fun :)

if you are interested in museums, Accademia di Brera is definitely worth a visit. It is on the green line of the metro, stop Lanza. Also, the entire Brera area is really nice, full of cafes and places to have the "aperitivo" in the evening.

Another cool thing to do is to go to the top of the Duomo, if it's a clear day the view is amazing.

Hey ciao!

I've lived in Milan for many years and I still go frequently. There's a lot of cool places were you can go and have fun. For lunch suggest you http://www.ilsalumaiodimontenapoleone.it/ located in a really charming place right in the city centre. For aperitivo I can suggest you the roof top of Rinascente, breathtaking view of the city. Right nearby to Rinascente there's the bar Straf, very cool. Just 5 minutes away from Dome you can go to g-lounge, very cool as well, it's an historical site. For brunch absolutely "the calofornia bakery" or "un posto a milano" both in the city centre. Do you have a car? let me know, I have more places to suggest you! Best Ilaria
