'Tis the season to be jolly! Yeah, right! :(
Sometimes, life can suck pretty badly. Everything seems to be going against you. Everything seems like a struggle. You reach a point where even the words in songs seem like knives being driven into you soul. You reach a point where you stare deep and hard into the abyss. It looks comforting. You look into yourself, and things seem insurmountable. You have to tell yourself to never give up. Never give in to the call of the void. The lure of calm... a place of no pain. How do you keep on keeping on? How do you avoid the void?

Damn, sometimes life really sucks, you know? :(

You just go forward. No other way.. It hurts i know. But you will get over it.... eventually...

Have courage and good luck. You are not alone even if it feels like you are..

The other thing to do is ASK FOR HELP. Posting is a good start. There are people out there who care about you... some of them may not have even met you yet, but still care!

Meet a friend for coffee... if you feel like you don't have any friends at the moment, make some new ones. Post up an event - hot chocolate in the old town or something, and meet some new people.

well, yes, I do... Especially right now :( Sometimes I think, it can only get better from where I'm now *sigh*

There is a little note I had next to my computer until I lost it: "just when you think you will never smile again... life comes back." I've been there several time in my life, and I have smiled again. So I guess, this time it will happen also *sigh*.

If you need a listening ear, send me a mail

hugs

Thanks guys. I have had a really shitty year. One with a lot more downs than ups. I have never been a fan of the "feastive" season either, so that does not help either. Neither does the job situation, and the economic climate. Signs of the times I guess. I notice a lot of sad faces, deep in thought, on the tram and bus, so I know I am not alone.

But! Things change. Thats the law of nature... Things will change. They will get better again. We just have to ride out the rough patches. And never ever give in to the abyss.

hey man, sounds like it's been a crappy year for you. If you're ever in Lausanne and want to hook up drop me a mail (I check most days). I went through a tough patch a few years ago and remember a quote, I think it was Churchill. "If you're going through hell, there's only one thing to do, keep going"...

Best

There are much more feeling that way as you would guess. Rough times we are going trough. Just look at life's problems as a challenge. 2008 is being a difficult year for me too as my life changed a lot and pretty bad. So, just don't feel alone. This season doesn't help also, I know. I really hate Xmas as it is nowadays.

Anyway, sometimes when I feel bad I think about troubles I've experienced in the past and seemed quite complicated and the way things got worked out. It even makes me smile...

Just see things this way, one day you'll be fine and you'll look back and smile about those rough times and about the way you got out of it.

If you need something, or just talking, drop a message and we'll get in touch.
