I just noticed someone's post in Member Activities about people who had come to Geneva because of their partner's work, and I have a similar situation that I wanted to post about. My boyfriend just started a job where he will be travelling away from home a lot (five days a week, every week) and it's a bit difficult to get used to. I was thinking there must be loads of other people in Geneva in the same boat, and it would be nice to get together during the week to hang out, share thoughts/concerns, and just generally distract ourselves from our partners' absence! It doesn't have to be anything structured, just drinks, dinner, watching DVDs, whatever. I may be told to post this in Member Activities, but I just wanted to see if there are others out there who are dealing with the same thing.
Reply to this post and maybe we can start a 'support group' for people with absentee spouses/partners/whatevers!

i have a few friends visiting at different times in the near future and i work all day. if those of you who don't work wouldn't mind meeting new friendly people and exploring the city with them, that would be great! please let me know.

...to get more people to view it and engage? I think it could fly.

I will do that. I also forgot to mention that I do work, it's just the evenings during the week that are lonely!
