why pay for the sky package when with your sat system, you can enjoy itv, bbc, and 40+ uk and english speaking programs for free. the same tv shows, (UK or USA ) are avalable to download for free from http://extratorrent.cc/.

What I really want is Sky Sports (for the EPL, Champions League and Boxing). I just recently bought a 55inch Smart TV especially to watch the footy in HD. 

I figured that getting a Sky package with the telly in HD would be well worth it considering I'm a lazy sod and can'tbe arsed going doing to the pub to weatch it. 

If you are looking for a web-tv based solution, you can watch most UK channels on http://tvplayer.com/. Its just that you need to use a UK proxy server to stream these channels. I am using hola plugin (in FF or Chrome), which allows me to dictate a country for any website. Hence, I do not need to find proxy servers at my own, Hola does all automatically.

You can also watch few UK channels in HD on a Swiss web-tv: wilmaa.com.

Any other sites, which one way or the other involves torrents, provide services at the cost of potential viruses and issues.

TVPlayer is good quality as well. I was using Filmon for UK channels and quality was poor.
