US Citizens having difficulty opening Post Finance Account
Post Finance is having a special on 3a pension if you transfer your account.  I went in last week and they were great and the transfer was to be done.

Today I received an email telling me that Post Finance has decided to no longer accept any more new accounts from US citizens.     I always have reported all my accounts.  This certainly makes me feel no longer wanted in Swiss banking.

What can we do about this?  Many people have told me of other banks no longer taking americans.  How will we be able to live here if we are forced out of the banking system.

It's actually even a problem for Swiss people living in the US!
Swiss banks are canceling their accounts, too.
You can complain:

May or may not help.

Dears, I can fully relate to this matter since I am dual citizen and got recently denied at a local bank.

You should now be well aware that Swiss banks are compelled to surrender the pedigrees of all US citizen holding a Swiss account. If I tell you that they hate doing that is an euphemism. It's kills them

The fact is that US treasury has been harassing us-based operations of Swiss banks, coercing them to quit doing business with US-citizen abroad. The source of the problem is not banking system but US Treasury that wants your money so badly that resorting to gangster-like threats to elicit action from swiss bankers is seen as legitimate! In legal jargon that's called extorsion and it's a federal crime across all 50 US states... choose your side mate!
