Using Canadian RRSP to buy housing in Switzerland

Hi everyone,

Just wondered if I can use my Canadian RRSP as a down payment for a mortgage in Switzerland?

Thanks for your insights

Not as far as I know. You can take out chunks of 5,000 CAD without paying tax upon withdrall and put in in your checking account (if you still have one) then transfer it over to Switzerland . Cash out over 5,000 and you will you automatically be taxed (it was at leat 10% when I done it). Best if you talk to a mortage advisor at your Swiss bank as well.
